Jungle Club is Fashion Innovator

The Jungle Club was recognized as a fashion innovator in a January 16, 1936 article by M.A. Weiss in the Pittsburgh Sun-Telegraph titled "Tropics Beckon To Disciples of Dame Fashion."

The article focuses on clothes to pack when traveling to Florida. "Every visitor to the land of Palm and Pulchritude must have one polo shirt, one pair of espadrilles, one pair of linen slacks, one neckerchief."

What to bring with you to Florida

"Among the new golf shirts is a double-breasted idea that saw light of day at the Jungle Club. It's a slip-on affair of cotton, with a banded hem that can be tucked into the trousers or worn outside. Many cocktail loungers are wearing them with an ascot and black palm beach trousers for evening events where dress is not required."
