This Week in the Creek: A Wildlife Convention

A work crew from the City of St. Petersburg mowed the grass along the creek bank on Farragut Drive this week and that seems to attract wildlife. According to a neighbor, birds like an unobstructed view into the creek. They also like when unseen predators aren't lurking in the tall weeds.

Here are some highlights of the event including appearances by great white egrets, wood storks, ibises, great blue herons, tri-colored herons, roseate spoonbills and mallard ducks.
