In the Azalea neighborhood, new "Welcome to Azalea" signs were installed this week. They emphasize the community's "Jungle Country Club" heritage.
The sign project was first presented to the Azalea Neighborhood Association by Mrs. Steve of the Jungle (Amy Elftmann). The artwork was designed by Steve of the Jungle (Steve Elftmann).
The signs were funded by a grant from the City of St. Petersburg. They were installed by neighborhood volunteer Bill Malone and his crew from Uptown Garage Doors.
